Design Brief

A period home demands a very special type of garden, one which feels as if it was created along with the house and yet at the same time is alive with fresh, vibrant colours and has an occasional elegant twist, be it in the materials used or contemporary features such as furniture and lighting.

For this home in Blackheath the house is steeped in history and anything too modern could ironically look dated quicker than the house itself. Therefore a careful selection of plants had to echo the period of the building, with materials such as Yorkstone giving the finished pathways a timeless elegance.
